Darbla
I don't think many people use the 'Fallen Leaves' type of FOs for perfume, but I do. But most of them smell more appropriate for candles than body, so I thought I'd check if any of you have recommendations for ones that are less room scent and wouldn't smell like you sprayed yourself with Glade potpourri before you left the house? grama
The way I tell if it will work for perfume or bath products is rub a little on my arm. I just tried it with Fallen Leaves from AH and it's not bad at all. Never thought of using it for a perfume.
Darbla
Eh, I usually like stranger stuff than everyone else does. For whatever reason, I like smelling like that mustiness and outdoorsy dirt scent you get from this kind of scent. I want to smell like I was just rolling around in a pile of raked up leaves, or on a forest floor. And, no, I don't mean THAT kind of rolling around! grama
You may just like that one then. Still smelling it on my arm and it smells good actually! Love it in a candle. Falling Leaves FES At long last, this much-requested fragrance is available! Falling Leaves is a delightful fall fragrance! It is everything fall is. It is crisp leaves under your feet when you are walking through the park on a misty day. It is refreshing, delightful and clean. It is the cool brisk air and the smell of fall. Who can put a finger on that smell? This oil is pricer than most but like our White Tea, you will find this to be a customer favorite and one you can rely on to pique customer interest! Faerywren
One year I did some gorgeous soaps that were the color of fall leaves, green with burgundy and gold highlights. Done in a leaf mold. I scented them with Sweetcakes Fall Foliage. Folks "oohed and ahhed" about the look, but I didn't sell a single one because the fragrance wasn't liked.
