RWV
I tried making red and white striped soap for peppermint stick soap, but the red bled into the white, so now I have to remelt it--AAGGGHHH! Is there any problem remelting since I've added goat's milk, jojoba oil, honey and fragrance? If I can't remelt, any suggestions about what to do ?I thought about slicing it up into chunks and then doing an overpour with white. Thanks everyone! kestagano04
I like the idea of the chunk soap. I'm sure it would look really pretty!
RWV
Thanks--that's what I decided to do, sprinkled red and white sugar crystals on the top and am going to call it peppermint fantasy.
Candybee
I remelt all the time. But since you have two seperate colors; red, white, in your soap you will probably get pink soap.

RWV
Thanks guys! I just wasn't sure about re-heating in the microwave since I had added the goat's milk. The chucks turned out really nicely with an overpour of white. It's nice to know that once in a while a screw-up can turn out well in the end. I sometimes find remelted soap can make a better soap. Chunk soaps are nice too.:smiley2:
