joyofsoycandle
Hello everyone. Have not posted in a long while. Wasnt sure where the right place was to post this, so hope this is the right spot. Anyway, Im testing some votives i made. I am using Ecosoya PB, and LX 14 wicks. I used 2 oz FO and 1.5 lbs of wax. Berts Candy Cane FO. I love it because it smells realistic, just like a real candy cane, when pouring. However, I have a votive lit in my bathroom for several hours and im not sure if im smelling a slight fuel type smell? Something is different while it is lit, from when just pouring it. Has anyone used this FO and did u think it smelled differently when burning? Scent throw is good, however its in a small bathroom. Also, the LX14 wicks leave some hangup, but im hoping it catches up eventually. Just wondered if anyone ever has any hangup with the LX14 in the pb wax also. Thank you!! :smiley2:
islandgirl
I use it and no fuel smell IMO.I actually had this burning in my sons bedroom last night and when he opened the door.. BAM.. That scent came rolling out his door and right into my living room!! Strong and clean IMO. NO fuel on my end..
Candlebuddy
Adding a little bit of vanilla normally gets rids of that fuel smell.

Islandgirl...what size candle were u testing....jar, votive..etc. Was it soy or paraffin? Im trying out this PB and it seems ok so far i guess. islandgirl
Soy ~ I use 16oz pint and 8oz Jelly Jars. I will keep on eye and nose on this scent and see if my new supply of Candy Cane has fuel notes to it.. The one I was testing was from an October shipment..
