BrittyBea
As most of you know, I am VERY new. So I'm sorry if these questions irritate you! Ok, after I get my kit I have planned on getting some GB 444. I have read that if you live in the south (hotter summers) that the GB 444 holds up better. Is this true? I know that you guys have said that the best wax is whatever suits you the most. But I'm just wondering if one wax is better to start off with then the other. I would try all the waxes that you need additives for, but I don't really understand all the percentages yet! Even with scents. Also, what does CO do for candles? Oh! And I've read 2 different things. I have read it is a MUST to get your container pretty hot right before pouring your soy and then I have read that it is not necessary. Which is right? Please bare with me as I learn! Edited June 3, 2010 by BrittyBea

I use CO in my GB464, I think it helps with throw, and smoother tops.Of course, it could all be in my head... but I've been doing it so long now its habit, lol! I dont add anything else. But you might find a para-sy blend holds up better for you in high heat... with soy its a battle in high heat.

NaturallyTru
Your issue about 2 different answers...well, each candlemaker will have different methods and formulas...to their taste. What works for one may not work for another. What one prefers is not what another prefers. Unfortunately you are going to have to try different ideas to see which works best for you. There are a lot of ideas as starting points on this board.Hope this helps.Trudi
