cactusladycandles
Does anyone know if a Rival Slow Cooker, which has 3 heat settings, would get hot enough on "high" to melt wax? The one I'm looking at has a removable ceramic bowl inside.
okieScents
I have a older model slow cooker that I use for my 4794, votive wax, it has two settings. High gets it at around 195 and low is around 150. It will hold about 2 1/2 pounds of wax. I love it and use it all the time. HTH. Oh and to answer your questions, the newer models do have a better temp. gauge then the older ones. I am sure it will be fine on high to use to melt the wax.

A neighbor down the street is having an estate sale tomorrow but I got to see what she is selling today. She has a brand new Rival Crock Pot and is selling it for $5.00. i'll be over there first thing tomorrow morning to buy it. Thanks again.
