megandgarr
Hello,I am new to this forum and I am hoping all of the experts here can provide input. I have been reading and reading some more to find the best pumpkin scent, but after all the reviews, I can not make up my mind. I am looking for the best "no spice" Pumpkin Pie FO, with exceptional hot throw. I am trying to find something with little or no spice and more on the sweeter side. I will be using 100% soy. The more opinions the better and thanks so much!!!
ckelley116
If you find it, let me know. Ever since my mom decided I was old enough to burn candles I've been looking for a pumpkin that is a true pumpkin and not a bunch of spices mixed together and called pumpkin! It's one of the main reasons I started making candles myself...and I still can't find anything close to it.
carol k
Good luck on that one. The closest i've ever found;pumpkin thyme from candlesoylutions. I think that's where it was from, it's been quite awhile ago. I just checked it says it's spicy. I don't remember it as being spicy. Maybe they changed in in the last few years. Next would be thecandlesources great pumpkin. You could go with a pumpkin creme brulee. Edited May 6, 2010 by carol k
CBE
The closest I found is Pumpkin Ginger Streusel from Candlewic. I smell a TAD bit of spice, but it's not much at all. It's mostly pumpkin. Not sure about it in 100% soy though, since I only tinker with B&B. Makes a fabu pumpkin scrub!
vberkesch
Did you try the Pumpkin Pie Closeout from BCN. That is more of a pumpkin than a spice I think. Vanessa
ChrisR
I think the Perfect Pumpkin by WYW at Bittercreek is without the spice.

CandleMama6
I have not been able to find a true pumpkin scent. If you find one, post it and let us know.
countyline
Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I love Harvest Pumpkin from Cierra. To me, it is a sweet, buttery pumpkin pie. I have also seen rave reviews on here for Lonestar's Butternut Pumpkin.
mzpickles
Maybe try a Sweet Potato scent? My Grandmother would mess with my siblings and me when we were kids, we wouldn't eat sweet potatos but when she made sweet potato pies for the holidays we would gobble them up, we thought they were pumpkin pies! The Candle Makers Store has a Sweet Potato Souffle, I haven't tried it though, and I know I've seen a Sweet Potato Pie fo somewhere, check the Fragrance Oil Finder and see who has it! Good luck! nmhoneybear
FOH had one called Sweet Pumpkin that smelled like straight pumpkin. Elements has been adding their fragrances since FOH went out of business. I haven't seen this one there yet, but I would keep my eye out for it...:smiley2:
