cybersix
I was reading on twitter how to use it for business, but still don't grasp the whole sense.. I read case studies on companies using it to hear from customers and giving quick answer to them... what do you think about it?Thanks in advance
quietgirl2004
I dont know. There was something I caught on tv last night about twitter and how people say they are here or there. I guess somebody took a stand about how it was an open invite to get robbed and somebody made a website called Please Rob Me and by the sounds of it people post about others not being home! They justify it by saying you just as well told everybody when you twitter that youre not home!
cybersix
Uh I read about that! But if you let the world know you are not at home (I hate "hey-i'm-with-kids-at-park posts LOL) sooner or later someone will try to rob you LOLI was talking about comapnies using it to search for posts of consumers and then responding, or asking, giving a real time CS and advertising too, such as using promotional codes only for twitter users. So I was wondering if any of you fellow candlemakers tried this venture! bells4shells
I use twitter for both personal and business posts. I know when I follow people, I don't always want to hear business. But, some of it is expected. As far as using it as an advertising tool, it works great! Looking at my analytics for my Etsy shop, I always get high hits from both facebook and twitter. I know people are looking at links I post, so for me, these two sites I use the most to talk about new products or listings, etc. As far as the open invite to rob... wow, that's pretty eye opening. I normally post about things I'm doing. I'll be extra careful about mentioning whether or not I'm home. Scary!
cybersix
Thanks Jade.I just started with a fan page on FB and opened an account on twitter, adn added links for those on my site.I don't get much traffic, I hope being on social network sites can help too, but italians are not so hooked on candles LOL I just try to make me more visible! As for posting where you are and what you're doing please be careful, the net (and the real world, too) is full of strange people! grama
Sabrina you can set up your FB business page so it post to Twitter what you post to FB. They say the more you post the better your chances are. I see some on Twitter that seems like they post about their business every hour! It was to aggravating to have to post on both so that is why I set mine up from FB. I don't post as often as I should, it is rather time consuming if you post a lot. I have a personal page also and what you post on your business page also post on personal page. Most of my posting is done for business purposes. And yeah, lots of people post everything little thing they do, I don't want the world to know that much about me!! If not, I'll ask to you! It's sure a time consuming thing, I hope it will help a bit!!Thanks a lot!

mokiwigirl
Twitter is the biggest growing social networking site on the internet, you get out of these sites what you put into them, whether it is for a personal use or for your business. It is a great way to communicate.
