pixie
I have been researching the tempering process and the benefits it gives to the wax. I understand it changes the crystal structure of the wax and it helps with issues like bloom and frosting. However, I am wondering does it help at all with the hot throw or is it done mainly for cosmetic reasons? Thanks
Stella1952
I have never observed any difference in the hot throw. Tempering is done to affect the stability of the texture & consistency of soy wax. 'Course it's easier to love the fragrance of a candle that's smooth as a baby's butt than one that looks like cottage cheese on fire...If you want to affect scent throw, good FOs, additives, wax type & proper wicking are the key players.
