Bernadette
Okay, I'm asking all you Southerners because I consider you the experts! I have a couple of pecan pie slices to make and send, and was wondering...does a slice of pecan pie usually get served with a dollop of whipped cream on top, or is it just plain? Really want it to look like the most popular serving. TIA:yes:

Judy, USMC
Plain. Thanksgiving & Christmas dinners are the only times we put ice cream on the side.
grama
Just plain delicious pecan pie. Don't need nothing else but a cup of coffee In my part of the South that's how we do it
Bernadette
Thanks Ladies! These are going to Arkansas, so I want them to look right. If I get a chance before I package them up, I'll post a final picture. You rock!

grama
"Yawl" are just not as Southern as we are here in this little country town
Luci
Now now, grama! I'm about as southern as they come. I don't purposely seek out the whipped cream, but if it's there . . . But, I did forget about the cup of coffee. You got me on that one, bless your heart. :tiptoe::tiptoe::tiptoe:
Stella1952
Small town Alabama & Louisiana is pretty dadgummed Southern!! But I agree about the coffee - unless I can get my hands on an ice cold glass of milk with which to wash it down... Depends on whether I'm eating it for breakfast, dinner, supper, bedtime or in-between.
