samandkennasmom
Omg...I just got an email saying they closed. JBN is taking some of their products over...Wow, didn't see that coming!Hugs~Michele
WendyByTheBay
I just got that email too. Wasn't just by nature the one that recently shut down then came back?
Gypsyjen
I was wondering what was up. I haven't ordered from them for awhile (took a break from candlemaking) but noticed lately that their website never seemed to be updated, their message board appeared to be shut down, and they've been out of stock of one of my favorite oils - Maduro - it seems for quite awhile. RIP GL
crissyp
So sad that another company has to close their doors. I guess it's just so hard these days to make an honest living. I sure hope things turn around soon.

grama
Seems like I saw somewhere that the 2 suppliers were brothers or some kind of kin? I also loved their Maduro. They had some really good oils and their service was great.
andy123
Got the same e-mail...not suprising with so many candlemakers going out of business...I'm sure they won't be the last ones either.
Candycane196
Well....here's my 2 cents on this and hopefully other suppliers that are thinking about going out of business might read. It's not fair to take your customers money on samples...send out their first order that they placed last week, and then just poof...they are gone. You'd think if either JBN or GL would care about their customers (and yes, they are brothers) they would at least have given a heads up...but both to me just seem very non-customer orientated. When JBN went out of business I talked directly to David, then ordered about 60 sampes that I am now stuck with after telling him of all the samples that I had of JBN and how rude I thought that was only for him to do exactly the same thing. I won't be a cusomer of JBN after their closing and re-opening and the change over of all the quality of their oils with no heads up there either...so anyone want to purchase samples of GL from me can email me Candycane196@aol.com and I'll be happy to sell them to you just in case JBN decides to carry any of GL oils...and then probably go out of business next week....yes, I'm angry and thank you for listening to my rant.Candy

I don't sell yet, but if I did, I would feel the same way. Suppliers that plan to close their doors shouldn't be selling samples.
Gypsyjen
I sent an email to Martha at JBN to find out if they will be carrying Maduro. I sure hope so, I told her lots of people love it and NEED to have it!
number2of7
Yep, I placed an order with GL last week....three days ago, my order arrives and it has Just By Nature on the box I had no idea they were closing until I received my order....I, too, am hopeful they'll stock most of what GL had....their Tuscan Patchouli is one of our best sellers!! I had been dying to try that Maduro but it was always out of stock Hope JBN picks it up!!
katie
I used to get a Havana dupe from JBN which they called Country Club and I believe GL called theirs Maduro. JBN said that their supply has disc. it and they will be looking for another supplier for the scent.
Gypsyjen
Thanks Katie for the info, I still had not heard back from Martha at JBN but it's good to know that they are looking for a new supplier for this.

earthfriendly
Lets hope (fingers crossed) it is as good or better than their original. When they reformulated their Indonesian Teak it was not the same as the old formula...at least not to me.
katie
Ordered it today,I will keep you posted on how it compares.
Ravens
Katie, did you receive Havana Night? I ordered it and plan to use it in my GB415 for tarts; how's the throw? Wonder if it would throw well in paraffin also (or instead of 415)...
