getchris
Hi, do you guys remember those glass pillar candles that were everywhere in the 70's? It was a standard glass pillar with a scene made of paper that was glued to the candle and then this iridescent sparkly stuff was glued to the outside so when the candle was lit the image glowed. I have a pic attached. I am trying to figure out what this sort of glitter stuff is. I have looked at many glitter suppliers but can't tell if they have this stuff. The 'glitter' seems like tiny round beads of glass or plastic. Anyone have any idea where this material can be purchased? Also, if anyone has an idea what that fragrance was they put in those old candles please let me know! Thanks!!

flutterbees
I recently bought some small grainy glass sugary type powder from rustic escentuals/aroma heaven. They come in different sized granules. HTH!
mparadise
I was going to suggest checking AH too. I am betting that you can apply modge podge over the picture once it is attached & dried then sprinkle it on.
darlatoms
This is so funny I just order some it's called dazzle dust from ah. I'm going to do pillars with it. Tell me what you are going to do.
getchris
yeah! you guys did it, I see it on AH. They call it 'Sugar Frosting Dazzle Dust' and describe it as ultra fine glass beads. The picture even looks like the stuff I'm looking for. I'm so excited. thanks for the help! Dustpuuppy
I still see candles like that in some small Spanish grocery stores. They're called blessing candles or some such. They have several different types but that's one of them.
