Make sure you wear safety goggles and gloves and have a ready supply of fresh water . Not meaning to scare you , it is better to be prepared . Meridith Posted November 5, 2009 Share Posted November 5, 2009 I've made it. Its not that hard to make but it does take some time. Its hard to get a clear liquid soap that is is not drying. asheebeans Posted November 6, 2009 Share Posted November 6, 2009 I've only made one batch of LS but it was a project! I'm glad that I had the CP experience under my belt though, honestly. Like others have said, worry more about conditioning instead of clarity. My clear liquid soap smelled off and was drying, even after adding glycerin to it. I dumped the whole mess and plan on formulating a nice moisturizing batch. At this point in the game I really don't care if it is clear! Did you get phenolphthalein to test the raw soap with?
