angied
Hi guys I have a question for you....hopefully it isnt to dumb:confused: I have some small empty plastic scent bottles and I want to give some scents to a friend to try out, is there a way to get the smell out so that I can put different scents in these bottles? Hopefully I am making myself clear because I cant figure out how else to word this, I'm having one of those nights:p. And hopefully this is the right place to ask if not sorry. Thanks Angie
topofmurrayhill
Well I damned well have never found a better way to get the scent out than putting another scent in. I don't think you have to sweat it.
angied
Thanks topofmurrayhill:yay: , I wasnt for sure if that would affect the new scent I put in or not. I guess I will just try it and see. Thanks againAngie
tlc26
he means after you have washed them pretty well!!!!I throw them in the sink and let them soak a bit. After they have been scrubbed, I can still smell a hint of the old scent in the threads of the plastic bottles. I have not noticed that it affected the new oil's scent though. topofmurrayhill
That won't get the smell out, but yeah you should wash them. At least I would. It probably doesn't even matter, LOL.

SatinDucky
I put about 1/2" salt in them, one drop of soap and just enough very hot water to make it slosh easily. The salt scrubs the oil off. There's just barely any hint of scent left.
