samandkennasmom Posted March 29, 2009 Posted March 29, 2009 Hi,A while ago I posted asking about buying that dvd from candles and supplies cause I wanted to learn how to make different kinds of bakery candles. When you order say a grubby loaf mold from a company, do they tell you any directions? Like wax to use, wicks to use, how to use wick pins....I just don't know if I should buy the video or just try buying a mold...any help would be so appreciated!!HuGs!Michele:yay: Quote
mparadise Posted March 29, 2009 Posted March 29, 2009 Hi Michelle, Typically they do not tell you what wax or wicks to use because there are so many options for both and it really comes down to personal preference. As far as using the mold it just takes a little practice. The nice thing is that if it doesn't come out right they can be melted back down and repoured in most cases. If you would feel better about the project then go ahead and buy the DVD. Personally I am a hands on kinda girl so I just bought the mold and started to play. It took q few tries to get mine wicked correctly but it was worth it. Don't worry about what others think, it comes down more to what makes you the most comfortable about tackling the project for the first time. Quote
