smittenheart Posted March 17, 2009 Posted March 17, 2009 I was interested in using the Ikea drawers. But I was wondering what you used as a cover.I am using a wooden mold now that has a lid. What do you use as a lid for the Ikea drawer molds??thanks all Quote
cdesousa5 Posted March 17, 2009 Posted March 17, 2009 Just an idea ,but if I didn't have a handy guy around , I'd take the drawer to a local Home Depot or Lowes and have them measure a piece of 1/2 to 3/4 in thick piece of wood cut to fit inside the drawer then I'd put a drawer knob on top. If you wanted it more finished you could get some sand paper and sand the sides and top. Quote
Kitn Posted March 17, 2009 Posted March 17, 2009 I have a homemade mold that I made a lid for , from a piece of stryofoam , I just covered the styrofoam with saran warp , it works well for me.HTHKitn Quote

mystical_angel1219 Posted March 19, 2009 Posted March 19, 2009 I sometimes use clear Sam's Club stretch cling wrap. It's strong as all get out. Also that other wrap, I can't remember this moment, it sticks to the top of the mold easily. Too tired right now to think. {OYE} It rocks- plus no clean up, I'm all about EZ. Quote
Kitn Posted March 19, 2009 Posted March 19, 2009 I just wanted to add that I had a fairly thick piece of styrofoam , I chiseled an indention the length and width of the lid, so I can use it for peaked or fancy topped soaps and they don't get flattened. It was a piece of packaging from a coffee pot or something , but it works like a charm.Kitn Quote
