LeahRB Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 I am using J223 in a 3.25 in jar. The wick I am having the problem with is the 62-52-18z. The melt pool is perfect, but the large flame and sooting are freaking me out. Can anyone recommend another wick for this size jar and wax. I appreciate all help. Thanks! Quote
diamondk Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 Did you try wicking down. Peak sight says a 60z or maybe even a 44-32z. You could also try maybe a CD12 as a starting point. HTH Quote
LeahRB Posted March 12, 2009 Author Posted March 12, 2009 Yeah, I started with a 51 and the flame almost died. I think I am really wanting to try and get away from the zincs if possible. Quote
diamondk Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 If you want to get away from zincs than get a sample pack of the CD unless you have them already. You could also try the LX sample pack. HTH Quote
