MarsBars Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 I've noticed these at local boutiques for several years but I didn't realize they were all from the same company. They have really cute designs:www.theroyalsoap.com Quote
bebedahls Posted March 5, 2009 Posted March 5, 2009 Those are cute...looks like someone has a talent. Id be lucky if mine resembled a bar of soap. Designing is not my strong suit LOL! Quote
Soapymomma Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 Those are very fun and interesting soaps. I do wonder if the things embedded in them are made of soap or if they are toys or plastic or erasers or what? Anyone know?Soapymomma Quote
MarsBars Posted March 6, 2009 Author Posted March 6, 2009 I bought one and they are actually soap. They are displayed different ways, usually in plastic wrap. Some boutiques have the entire loaf and will cut off a piece, and you pay by weight. I think it's cool. On their site they said they use fresh bananas in one of their soaps (Smoothies)? I wonder how that works.I did notice they are part of Fresh Body Market, or at least share the same physical address. Quote
Scented Posted March 6, 2009 Posted March 6, 2009 Goodness there are some cool ones in there (most of them lol!) Quote
Dolphin146 Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 WOW awsome soaps. I only wish I could make soaps that look that good. Quote
Farmhouse Treasures Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 Did anyone find the price on the soaps? Quote
Darbla Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 Did anyone find the price on the soaps?Q: How do I buy the Royal Soap Company products? A: Sorry, we are not a retailer. we only sell whole sale to retailer with a store front.Because of that, I would think you'd have to contact them for pricing. Quote
Bernadette Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 If you like these soaps, check these out: http://www.primalelementsonline.com/This company was the first to come up with this type of soap, and they hold a patent on their candles(so no gel with a soy overpour). Quote
Darbla Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 Oh my gosh! I wouldn't want to use them. I'd just let them sit around and look pretty! Quote
Bernadette Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 You know, there's a gift store that sells these types of soaps where we vacation every year. They have a whole room with tables that have the loaves out, with a couple bars of each soap cut in front of the loaf. I would never buy any because the room was packed when I was there, and everyone - from the little kids to adults that should have know better - was touching them, picking up the bars and touching them to their noses(!)... ...I couldn't believe it. And I couldn't understand why they didn't have the loaves covered, and maybe one or two soaps overall out for the customers to sniff, etc. They were selling ALOT of them, though. Quote
puddin1970 Posted March 7, 2009 Posted March 7, 2009 They are cute and look like alot of work goes into them. I am lucky if mine look like soap lol. But very creative! Quote
miniiB Posted March 10, 2009 Posted March 10, 2009 from the little kids to adults that should have know better - was touching them, picking up the bars and touching them to their noses(!)... ...I couldn't believe it. And I couldn't understand why they didn't have the loaves covered, and maybe one or two soaps overall out for the customers to sniff, etc. They were selling ALOT of them, though.were they actually selling the bars of soap that were being touched ??? Thats horrible, fingerprints alone look unattractive on soap. Quote
Bernadette Posted March 10, 2009 Posted March 10, 2009 Yes, they were:shocked2: ! And I couldn't believe how many people were waiting to have a bar cut off loaves! The loaves didn't look dirty, but when you stood a certain way, and the light hit the individual loaf, you could see a ton of fingerprints and smudges:shocked2:! They should have had them covered. I guess people just thought it would wash off...I couldn't have been the only one that noticed:confused: . Quote
luinousglow Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 Okay....SOOOOO....How do we make these darn things??? Melt & Pour? The hard part is figuring out how they do the middle. Pour into a mold & then embed the mold piece into another mold??? Any ideas? We could all get rich together here!BelindaLuminous Glow Candles Quote
jbren Posted March 14, 2009 Posted March 14, 2009 Don't know where you are in FL, but there is at least one 'Basin' store that I know of (in the Grand Floridian) that sells pretty much the same stuff. I didn't see one person in that store the whole week we were there. http://www.basin.com/web-cart/customer/home.php?cat=251 Quote
thesoapbox Posted March 16, 2009 Posted March 16, 2009 Those candles with the gel chunks and white overlay are made by a few other companies as well that I have seen online.Angi Quote
ditzy1 Posted March 16, 2009 Posted March 16, 2009 Those are way too cute. I'm definitely going to have to order a little bit more m&p soap and see what "creations" I can come up with. Thanks for the inspiration....lol Quote
