oldetownecandleco Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 Hello everyone! first time posting on the CT but have been reading for awhile...so thanks for all the info in the past. Anyway my wife and I have a home based candle company and are looking for a some new products to offer and thinking about trying some metal tins but have not seen any that we like. So my question is does anyone know where to get metal tins that have an antique finish? Thanks for any info. Lancewww.oldetownecandleco.com Quote
Flicker Posted March 3, 2009 Posted March 3, 2009 Most people antique their own, in fact I am not sure you can buy them already done I have done this with both paint cans and regular tins...just plop them in your oven on a clean cycle and it happens OR you can also use a propane torch (careful! They get hot!) which leaves a less uniform look. HTH Quote
Beth-VT Posted March 4, 2009 Posted March 4, 2009 If you don't have a self clean feature, just turn the oven up as high as it will go, and "bake" them for 30-40 minutes or so. Quote
