Last year was so rough on us with me being in and out of the hospital so much (why I missed last years gathering) and we haven't been on "vacation" in 3 years so we'll be ready to "run out of dodge" If we go a different day, I may try to meet some of you at the Casino. Not sure about the gathering. I'm trying to get ready for a large 4th of july festival in my town, but am soo behind on the house being kept up from my surgies that I really don't have time to play in wax anymore. I have a lot of stuff made that was done for last year. I'll see what goes and keep everyone posted. Abbie, we may be heading your way...or OC, Maryland. Haven't decided. I'm hoping to get to come so I'll be watching closely to make sure the gathering doesn't fill up before I get a chance to make my reservation. As you know, I'm kind of "on call" having to help my folks and that's the only reason I don't go ahead and sign up now. I may have to attend!!!I wanted to let everyone know that the Meadows is FUN!!! And they are in the process of building a new casino which I believe is supposed to open in April. I've been there several times and always have a good time. The Outlets are really nice too. I'm not much of a clothes shopper so I didn't pay much attention to those stores, but they had lots of knick knack stores and kitchen-wares. You will definately enjoy yourself. How close are you? Last year only 4 from PA, we were so sad - we wanted to meet local talent!We are over half full - we are not in a huge room this year, cuz we wanted to try the Meadow Lands and their ballroom was taken, so we are in a 50 - 60 room - 60 would be lovely, gonna be tight.Everybody, draggin...their feet...thinkin' something better is gonna come along...then there will be no room left! chiptooth Posted May 2, 2009 Share Posted May 2, 2009 Hi all...thought I'd for sure I'd attend this year since I'm only about 45 minutes away but that's the beginning of our vacation and believe me...I'm gonna need one. After 4 surgeries from 5/8 - 11/21 last year and slowly getting back to my good ol's self. I'm in the middle of making palm forever candles for a wedding reception memorial weekend and in the meantime am involved in doing some last minute fund raising stuff for my son's relay for life team and trying to get ready for out town's big 4th of july festival. Since nobody knows me personally....I work best with both ends of the candle burning plus through the middle.
