burnt_fingers
I just received a soy candling making kit to give soy a try. When I use parrafin I generally just save some wax and top off. I read somewhere you can use a heat source on the top of the candle to fill the voids. I used my wife hairdryer. It did a nice job of melting the wax, but splattered the liquid in all directions. Not the result I was hoping for. I take it the blowerdryer was a bad idea or is there a technique?
Scented
Not a hair dryer ... it does what you did, but maybe might work at an angle farther away from the top of the candle. I've found heat guns to be more central at blowing on something, but they too, can cause splatters.
burnt_fingers
I should probably stick to the old tried and true, topping off. Thanks for the feedback.
Scented
That's the best method, honestly.

Circle
If you can invest in a heat gun, it is something that will be very usefull in many applications.
