wildwings
Does anyone know how to color tarts? I want to try to make a tart out of a mold and color in different colors. For example if I wanted to make a gingerbread man with a brown body but give him details with colors for the frosting and face ect. Thanks so much
Luci
Unless your mold has indentations making it possible to pour separate colors, the only way I know of is to use craft paint for the details. I would think that with something like a tart mold would be too small to do different color pours without it being a real pita.
moonrose64
maybe you can have some whipped wax colored and ready for the gingerbread man once you take him out of the mold and get the colors on quick?
rustic
The way I do it with gingerbread men and snowmen molds is after the tarts are removed from the mold. I melt just a small amount of wax then color it with the color I want to make the details take a toothpick and dab it on the eyes, mouth where ever you want the details colored. It's works for me. Hope that helps:cool2:
