Sharon in KY
Something I tried the other day.Poured wax GF435 hot into room temp jarsthen put in the micro to heat till jars were hota minute or two depending on how many jars jars will be too hot to handle so use a oven mittput something on to keep wicks straight let them drywhen dry, poke a hole near the wick and do a repour, I always do anywaydepending on the temp of wax of repour you may have to heat topsthese turned out great and had no frosting at allTry one and see what it does. flightoffancy
The wick tabs didn't shoot off sparks in the microwave?
Sharon in KY
No sparks, I have been using the Micro for over 8 years. Always use it to melt jars to empty wax and wash. Also to reheat.
leenabug
I am curious as to why you did this. Was it to eliminate frosting? How hot was the 435 when you put it in the jars? I usually pour my 435 at 100-110. Was it hotter than this?
Sharon in KY
I'd say it was about 150-160*, I did it so I could go ahead and pour then heat, which took no time and set aside. I wind up having several pitcher sitting around waiting and it gets crowded.
tootie04
When I tried pouring hot with my KY125 it affected the HT so much I HAD to pour it cool. So check your HT and make sure it is what you want.tootie
