mixnwax
I have noticed that oils from a particular supplier are not performing as they have for the past 7 years. I have to wick up 2-3 times bigger now and not one single thing I'm doing is different. If this is or has this happened to you and what was the problem?I'm stumped, and need to solve this before my business suffers anymore.Any ideas, tips or suggestions are greatly appreciated. Darbla
There's been a couple other threads lately on FOs not performing as they used to. Some are going pthalate (sp?) free, and possibly the manufacturers are changing formulas and going with cheaper or no longer available ingredients. SliverOfWax
I am having to wick up on almost everything. Since I primarily buy oils from 3 suppliers, I'm blaming it on the wax. There seems to be something different about it. I use comfort blend. I don't know for sure that it's the wax, but that seems more likely to me than to blame the oils. Also, ambient temperatures play a huge part in wicking. This time of year, wicking up is common. LeeAnn Carlton
Yep, in my expierence it was the wax also.
mixnwax
I first thought bad batch of wicks, then the oils. I hadn't really given the wax much thought and like Sliver, comfort blend is the largest component in my blend. Thanks for all your responses and I'll go rethink this and that's always a toughie for me.:embarasse
