Candlebuddy
Candlechem carries Buck Lure ... Taylor Concepts carries Dirt ... Nature's Garden carries incense and solvent. Maybe someone else knows a supplier that carries all three.
joyofsoycandle
What are your opinions on this...........if you are making incense for hunters to use outside in the field.....do I even need to use DPG to help it cut back on the soot and smoking? Is that an issue I need to really worry about if they are not being used indoors? What are your opinions? Thanks!
Candlebuddy
I've never made incense before, but I've never heard of not using DPG. I don't think the incense will burn correctly if you don't use it. DPG is a carrier for the fragrance oil, so I think it's necessary for making incense, whether you're burning them inside or outside. Also, I think it may be dangerous not to use the DPG. Hopefully, someone else will jump in.
elfcat
I would use the DPG. I tried doing without for some out door sticks and it did not burn well. It smoked badly and kept going out. It's really cheap at NG.
carol k
madinaonline.com for the sticks & dpg. i think it would be really risky to have an incene stick burning in the woods, with all the dried leaves. incense drops off the ash which is still hot & could very easily start a fire. LynnS
I have to agree with Carol. I wouldn't do that because of a fire.Fires sometimes don't start right away but can take awhile. Just a cig ash in time has smoldered and burned down houses. LynnS
number2of7
DEFINITELY madinaonline.com for your sticks and dpg....And I also agree with the others...not using dpg = mess
joyofsoycandle
My bro in law and the guys he hunts with all use a cylinder metal container with holes in the top that let out the scent from the incense sticks, anyway the incense sticks go in holes in the bottom of the metal container and the scent comes out the top. So its pretty safe.
