Guest jurnalynn
can someone explain to me what they mean about soap riceing?Laura
RNSandSCENTS
I am going to take a rookie's guess and say that ricing has to do with fo acting crazy and taking a turn for the worse....smell wise. Or at least that's what I read but the soapers will give you a more accurate answer....I'm just testing myself here...
CareBear
ricing is when your soap "batter" starts to look a little grainy and suddenly you are stirring a pot of creamy rice pudding that's thickening up too quickly.it's one of those 'you'll know it when you see it' things. (usually caused by an uncooperative FO or EO. but sometimes the soap fairies are just messin' with ya.
Guest jurnalynn
could it happen with lotion? i made double batches of lotion in all my scents but when i got to the warm vanilla sugar it cuddled and i had to chuck the batch but when i soaped this same fo it worked greatLaura
CareBear
I believe so, although in lotion it would be called curdling and would be the result of something breaking our emulsion.
