I did a new website through weebly. Will you please take a look at it and tell what needs to be changed.

I've been working on this for a week now. Went live with it this morning. Since 5:00 a.m. I have been tweaking it.

I'm tired of looking at it... please help me.

Some better pics for the slideshow might make it a little bit better, a couple are fuzzy to me. In the product name in the slideshow, just an idea but maybe put in something like:

2 oz. lotion (scent shown: Daisies)

So people can see a bit of the scent side of it?

I think several pics on there are a bit hard for the product, like the 1 oz. soap bar pic, the darkness on top is a bit distracting, but LOVELY soap!!!

One thing and this is my personal opinion on this part, on the scent list, I would not put "not body safe" on any of them. It might scare people off from even wanting it in a candle, thinking it might be dangerous. I have different scent lists for my B&B items, and then another for candle items. I just do not include those scents on the B&B list.

If you can move that post you made in the guestbook into a separate policy page, that way the info doesn't get lost, or you could combine it in the payments page.

Otherwise, good job!!

Your going to want to put this back in the new sie so you dont lose your page rank on google:

<META NAME="description" CONTENT="hand poured palm candles, and melts.">

<META NAME="keywords" CONTENT="candles, palm candles, tarts, melts, mini muffin melts, candle wax, fragrance oils, scents, votives, pillar candle, pillar, gift certificates">

and your old title:

<title>Tuxedo-Enterprises -- hand poured candles, and more. NEW...Bath and Body Products</title>

is much better than your new one:

<title> Tuxedo-Enterprises - Home</title>

Thanks Allicia. I ended up at a google rankings page. Did a sitemap...verified my site and whatever it asked me to do. This is all getting confusing to me. I was pretty proud of myself for getting the site changed over at godaddy. Websites are a lot of work. But worth all the time.

Giving it a quick once over, a few of the things I would change are:

Glycerin Soaps page:

1 oz "A nice size bar if you're not sure of the scent. Lots of nice creamy lather." I would change it to something like, A convenient trial size bar to sample our soap's creamy lather and variety of scents.

3 oz "A bar of soap shaped like a leaf. Lots of nice creamy lather in one leaf." Consider changing to, A decorative leaf shaped bar of soap that is not only nice to look at, but also creates lots of creamy lather for a luxurious bathing experience.

If you can, I would work on the background and lighting for these photos, because I'm sure in person they are really great looking bars of soap, but the dreary background isn't doing anything to make them pop.

Melts page:

I don't see anything about how to use the wickless melts or what type of wax they are made of; nor do I see anything telling your customers how convenient they are to use or approximately how long each one will last. I'm wondering why you offer them in a cup? What's the benefit of that vs. the other melts?

Wickless page:

Again with the photos, I don't think they are doing your products justice because of the color and the lighting. I could be 100% wrong, but I think the color choices for your wickless candles might not appeal to as many people as say, a red or blue candle might. The bottom photo appears as black candles, and even the tins look the same color as the candles. Maybe it's better to have one good photo of a single tin, rather than trying to fit several tins in one photo and getting reflections and distorted colors.

Also, I would get a little more creative with the descriptions of the tins; for example, The latest trend in home candles--a wickless candle. Experience the same fragrant room filling aroma as wicked candles, but without the flame. These tins are for use with an electric candle warmer and may be re-used many times. You'll find these are a must have for areas where candles cannot normally be burned.

Overall, I think your site is laid out nicely and has a clean, uncluttered look, but I would suggest you enhance the decriptions of your products and make them sound more appealing to your customers, as I'm sure they are.

On the home page you have on your menu discriptions, should be descriptions. Otherwise, very easy to navigate. The only thing I would change are the pictures in your slide show. Does your camera have a macro (flower icon) setting? These are good for close ups. If you are picture taking challenged, just take alot of pics and print them if you can. Having them side by side for comparison is better than looking at them individually. Eventually you will get the right lighting and a great pic. The ones on the slide show are good but the lighting in them aren't. Get some rest and great job!

Sorry, but did you intend for the two links Hand-poured Soy Candles and Bath & Body Products to be linked to www.sexygraphics.com? as shown below

<!-- WEEBLY_START_CONTENT --><div ><div id="646373694485654" align="center" style="width: 100%; overflow-y: hidden;"><BR><a href="http://www.sexigraphics.com" title="New Comment Code Layout Graphics" > <img src="http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w64/webztuff/Welcome/2c3ab12545534c6.gif" border="0"></a><br> <a style='padding:3px;background:#121212;color:#00FFFF;font-family:arial;font-size:11px;font-weight:bold;text-decoration:none;border:1px double #00FFFF' href="http://www.sexigraphics.com"></div>

Not sure if this was intentional, but not something I'd be looking to see on a candle site?

Okay, I'm trying to fix my pictures. I've only done one...octagon pillar.

I'm going to attach the picture here and if you would, please go to my website to see what it looks like on there.

Tell me if I'm headed in the right direction on making my pictures look better.

TIA

It does look MUCH better, but a few tips, try to eliminate shadows if you can. I know sometimes it's inevitable with limited light sources, but try to put at least a lamp on both sides and take the pic with flash off. It'll soften the tones if you don't use flash.

You can always lighten it in a photo editing program.

ETA: I played around for a few minutes, the first is eliminating the shadow. And a single lightening layer.

The second is darkening the background, so if you happen to have something darker, you can see by comparison how much is makes your product pop.
