Candlelovr
Hi all!A while back, I made some yellow soap and within a week or so, it turned an ugly brown color. Is it safe to use UV inhibitor in soap to keep it from discoloring? Can you tell me how much to use pp of soap? If it is not safe, what should I use? Thanks !! ChrisR
UV is for candles, so I wouldn't use it in your soap. Depending on your scent, especially if it contains any amout of vanilla, it will automatically turn a shade of brown and nothing will change that unfortunately. Candlelovr
Hi, thanks for your response. I did not use an fragrance in it, just some yellow color chip. Im playing with soap now, I used a tiny bit of brown dye chip and some ocean breeze fo, I'll see how it turns out. Im making candles for some family members for christmas and would like to include one cute lil bar of soap with it. All I have is the cheap'o Hobby Lobby soap tho, so it probly wont turn out very well.
ChrisR
I don't do M&P soap, so I'm not sure about Hobby Lobby soap. I hope you aren't using candle dye chips in it though, cause they can't be use in soap, they aren't body safe!
