CandleLytes
Someone told me that when I make a paraffin-based chunk candle to use 1239 for the chunks, and 1343 as the overpour. Is this what most of you use? My soy chunk candles turned out great with a little tweaking of the recipe here and there.
Wick'n'Wax
I use normal paraffin. I just make sure I pour the overpour slightly cooler than I make the chunkshth
Rae
I use the same paraffin for the chunks and the overpour.

Donita
It depends on the look I am going for. Sometimes I like to add vybar and stearic to the chunks to make them opaque then over pour with just stearic added. When Candlewic's CBL 141 was reliable I liked it for the chunks and the 4045 for the overpour. Then something went wrong and the CBL started "rippling" in my sheet pans. I quit using it and just used the 4045 with stearic and vybar. Sometimes I don't add vybar. Without vybar and just stearic I am able to get nice jewel tones.Donita
