flutterbye
Ok, I'm getting ready to try a new thing...Tea Lights. The biggest problem I have with the store bought ones is that halfway through the burn, the wick and tab tends to slide off to one side of the tea light cup. So I was thinking of using a glue dot on the bottom of the wick tab to hold the wick in place while burning. Does anyone else do this? Is it safe to do this with a tea light? Vicky_CO
I use the wick stickum in mine so I do not see a problem with using glue dots.
candlesprite7
Yes you can do that. When I get my wicks and cups in I spend some time hot gluing the wicks to the cups so that they are ready to go when I need to make some. Works great and you don't have to worry about the wick tabs shifting when you pour and burn.
flutterbye
Great! Thanks for your replies! I feel more comfortable about doing them that way now. Someone told me that the glue dots would catch on fire, which was probably not true....
Dolphin146
Hi I also use hot glue. When I get a box of cups I glue all the wicks in so when I need them there ready. Regina
