zinc vs paper vs cotton

Recommended Posts

Hey all, wick question here. I have some 60-44-18z, 60-44-18p, and 60-44-18c. Is there much of a difference between them? I'm sure there's gotta be, otherwise why would they make them?

I hear zinc is the coolest burning, which makes me think the paper and cotton would burn hotter. Am I right? Any thoughts?

I personally do not like zinc wicks at all. Too much soot in my applications. Also, I was tired of idiots asking if they were lead because they could see the metal.

I used CD and LX's with no problems to speak of both in all paraffin and a paraffin/soy blend.
