jbren
I get mine from Boyer...but I would say any of the above suppliers who ship in safe containers that the lye can also be stored in.
SpaceGirl
coloradoorganics.netThey do have a limit on how much lye they will ship, tho. I just pick up from them because they are local. Even tho I don't make soap.... yet - LOL!

Darbla
My local Lowes has the Roebic brand, but I don't remember if it's the one you want or if it's NOH. So check all the hardware stores near you.

If you are still looking for some PM me and I can sell you a pound or two of mine. Not all Lowes carries it so you need to check. The Lowes in my area does not due to the meth problem. They quit selling it a few years ago. :undecided

kidsngarden
Great Laura! For those who may be following this thread who may not know ... the "lye" at lowes is Sodium Hydroxide (for making cold process bar soap) and it should say "roebic crystal drain Cleaner" and be Granular. It is not Potassium hydroxide that is used for liquid soap making.
