SatinDucky
I made this one when trying to do the gift basket. Thinking spring flowers and butterflies. Nope... definitely looks like a baby girl candle, not springy...LOL. I do like it, just wasn't what I was aiming for.Scented Hyacinth and Honeysuckle.. candlesprite7
I think it looks neat! Are the butterflies embedded? or painted on?
YooperCandles
I agree that it is VERY pretty. The only thing I think you are missing is green. I think of fresh grass when I think of spring, but as I said, I do love it the way it is.Pam

kimmeroo
I think it looks great Satin! Maybe if you paint one butterfly green and another yellow it would spring it up a little more..I like the concept..kinda looks like a decorated egg.Very creative! SatinDucky
Thanks ya'll They're not pained on, but embedded in the pillar. I originally had about 5 more small ones in there but the kept falling off the mold...lol

Stella1952
GREAT colors, Ducky!! I see them as both springy AND suitable for baby colors (either sex!)!! You've come up with another winner!!
Donita
Oh I think it is really cute. I do agree that a little green would add some more interest but it looks very pretty just the way it is. Donita

Late Night
It's very pretty but I agree with you that it looks more like a candle for a baby's room. It would be a great shower gift!

Jojo T.
Very pretty - the placement of the butterflies is great - did you have to warm them first to get them to curve with the mould?
SatinDucky
Thanks ya'llJojo... nope. I cut them out while the wax is still warm enough t be pliable, but cool enough to handle. The mold needs to be warmed slightly too. The timing is tricky with pillar wax and it's a short work window. As soon as they're all cut out I stick them inside the mold to cool. Often they'll fall back off the mold once cool, but that's okay since they're already shaped I can warm it back up and stick 'em back on when I'm ready to pour. Works best with rustic finishes. I usually get tiny cracks on the outside of the embeds from bending so it blends with the rustic look....lol. Also if the wax is too hot it'll melt the embeds back loose.
