jeniryan
Ok, my supplier is closed today, or I would call them and ask. Their instructions on the repour of their palm wax for votives is to pour at 170, which is about 10-20 degrees cooler than the initial pour. It just threw me off reading that, as you do your second pour with container candles at a higher temp the second go round. I understand palm is a totally different thing than the soy container wax. Just wanted to make sure this sounds right? Thanks!
Stella1952
When we second pour, we pour at the same temp or hotter. If it's too much cooler, there will be a real noticable difference in the crystal structure.
bugtussle
I have NEVER double poured a palm votive. Palm wax (at least from Taylored) is a single-pour. Carole
jeniryan
I didn't think that made sense This is from JBN. I've never dealt with palm before, only the soy container, so just wasn't sure. Thanks!
Stella1952
Votives get air pockets in them same as pillars do and sometimes require a second pour. I have not tested a palm wax yet that did not have this issue.
Lantern Light Mama
I use the Palm from JBN and have never poured twice, and have never had an air pocket in one of them. I actually have been pouring them wickless to use as scent and color samples for wholesale accounts. I do get the air in the pillars and poke relief holes, but not in votives. Phase of the moon...? Karen B
Phase of the moon...?I thought you had to stick your tongue out a certain way while pouring. Oh and make sure the check which way the wind is blowing before starting. J/K, even after all these years I still sometimes have to go well what happened there?Karen B
