hellen
Hi guys,I've never tried making a black candle..I've certainly added black to 'richen' other colours...but I am trying to make a black candle. NO SUCCESS. So far I have ended up with a dark grey, a 'purply' kind of colour and a dirty water colour. How do I make a solid black candle???I'm using 50/50 and a 10oz apocathery jarCheers,Hells

SatinDucky
It would be very difficult to get black with a container wax.
barncat
You will need to go to a parrafin in order to get a black. I make a black candle with no problems. I use a liquid dye.
cactusladycandles
I use 4630 container wax. I have no problems making a true black candle if I add a little blue to the black until it is as dark as I want. I use dye chips.
