Non-Artificial-Smelling Straight Vanilla??

I can't seem to be satisfied with any of the vanillas I've tried...I am melting a tart right now (Flicker's Vanilla Supreme) and I THOUGHT I really liked this one, but in a melt, it smells so artificial! (I think it smells better burning, and I have a regular customer who loves it in a jar) but, DARN! I am not liking it at ALL in a melt!!! It's so hard for me to go by OOB, cause to my nose, a LOT of the vanillas smell soooo fake that way... Is it possible that I should lighten up a bit on the load?? Would that help?

My friend thinks they all smell like play dough. I like a lot of vanilla and don't smell what she is smelling so I can't help.

After never being 100% satisfied with any vanillas out there, I finally found Just Scents: Becky's Ultimate Vanlla & after that, I stopped looking. This is the one.

Do you smell something nutty in her Ultimate Vanilla?? It is not straight vanilla. It is very strong.

I have a sample of one of her newest vanillas in my workshop, and OOB, it smelled VERY nice, I am gonna test it, I think in a jar, and I will post my resluts....have to check on the name, too...:rolleyes2

A very nice and true vanilla is Black Vanilla from The Scent Works.

I love CandleCocoon's Vanilla Voodoo whch is also very true and yummy, but more buttery - Black Vanilla is pure, straight, perfect.

IMO Just Scent's Ultimate Vanilla isn't very natural.

I have used for 7 years Cajun Candles Vanilla Bake (traditional vanilla and very true) and the last 2 years Just by Nature's mexican vanilla (just like the real stuff!). Both are fabulous! IMO These both sell very well for me all year!~

I've really had trouble finding a vanilla that works for us. I absolutely love our latest find-not exactly pure van-, but very yummy vanilla like scent- TN's birthday cake. Throws like crazy for us.

I have had a hard time finding a vanilla I like also. So far I like Vanilla Crunch (CandleSource) although it's slightly nutty, and I like Vanilla Velvet (BCN) too.

Candle Science has a new vanilla...of course I haven't tried it yet, but their fo's seem to be pretty right on with the description.

I like Tahitian Vanilla by Scent Shack. (as far as straight vanillas go)

The creamiest, dreamiest vanilla IMO is NG's Vanilla Silk. Love it, love it, love it!!

We originally started with Cajun's Vanilla Bake, then tried JS Ultimate Vanilla and Vanilla Bean...then went back to Vanilla Bake. Love it!
