Wick'n'Wax
I've just made some melts in a rubber mould, and when I take them out the wax is breaking up slightly. They are snowmen and the features are coming off etc. The wax feels too brittle.Should I add container soy to soften it slightly, or paraffin to harden it?thanks
Stella1952
I would try some beeswax to harden the wax.
Wick'n'Wax
don't have any beeswax, I do have microwax hard. Would that make them impossible to burn tho lol
Stella1952
What kind of wax are you using? And did you use any kind of release on the rubber, like vegetable oil spray?
Wick'n'Wax
k, now I feel a pillock in my eagerness to use my new molds I didn't grease them, and its soy pillar (ecosoy)
Candle Makin Momma
Soy pillar can be a bit brittle. I add 1-2 oz of 100% container to 1 lb of pillar.
