staticexistence
I work at a shop and had the guys make me a really large and long taper vat because I like long tapers. What is the best way to make long tapers, or what is the best way to heat a vat to make tapers? I was thinking about either using a turkey fryer as a double boiler or or by boiling a pot of water on a portable electric stove. Does anyone have any advice for this particular situation? WaxMunky
Hi,Candlewic has taper dipping systems, that you could check into,to see what one would be best for you.As far as the Turkey Fryer as a double Boiler,I'm clueless to help you there. Not exactly clueless just *Chicken* I use a large chefs pot as a double boiler, just place something sturdy at the bottom that will keep the vats off the very bottom of the pot.I learned that the hard wayBesides the wicking, seems like your pretty well set.Good luck.
