Shredded paper as basket filler?

I'm going to fill some baskets with my candles etc & I'm thinking of putting coloured shredded paper in the bottom for filler.

My question is this...as I don't use shrink wrap does anyone know if the colour will bleed from the paper & stain my undyed soy wax pillars & votives?

The candles don't feel greasy & none have bleeding fo but I don't want them spoiled if the paper dye bleeds out.

I would stay away from it myself. It probably will bleed. Wax is an oil, whether it's hardened or not. Tissue paper may be better since the paper itself is waxed.
