Can some explain the difference between Wood Pulp & Charcoal Incense?

I'm used to buying my sticks off Venice Blvd wrapped in tin foil, am I buying the wood style ones? Which stick has less of a scent and lets the FO shine thrrough? Is wood or charcoal easier to work with?

Also DPG, best site for some?

I just recently did a search on here for incense and found these two responses re: charcoal incense:

"charcoal sticks they are the best for absorption"

and

"been doing incense for years and the best for fragrance throw is charcoal sticks"

I hate incense because it smells smokey and too strong. I used to make the charcoal sticks. I loved them. They put out alot of scent, and had more of a true scent, not smokey. The customers loved them. I just don't have time to make them anymore.
