lulusassy
Does anyone have any suggestions for samples? I have about to start 2 fundraisers, and I am not sure about the samples.... What should I give the people to smell? Also, any packaging ideas for the sample scent suggestions??
sakura
Tealights would be nice or maybe just a melt. How many scents are you offering?
islandgirl
I put my samples in portion cups. (Do a search on this board for "portion cups" to find out where to buy)I have had many fundriasers tell me that the little sample cups really helped their sales.. Good Luck to you!! fmsojka
I also use the portion cups for the candles, but also starting using these mini tubes. I dip a Q-Tip in the scent, put it inside the tube and label it. Works well for bath products. Uses very little scent.http://www.elementsbathandbody.com/Sampler-Minis-pr-193.html

sisterkaren
We use the hinged lid paint strips from lacontainer and put samples of the wax in them. That way all the little cups with samples are connected and easier to keep together. We also use them for home party kits. Lacontainer has a mininum order, but there is a place to get them that doesn't, I just can't seem to think of their website
Lantern Light Mama
Why not try the bead boxes with hinged lids from Wal-Mart or such? Cheaper than a special order...
islandgirl
Here is a link that may help you..http://www.candletech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=36450&highlight=food+service
Trish
I take a lb of my votive wax (my container wax is too soft) and pour in a wax covered cookie sheet. When it's cooling, but still warm, I use a knife to score tons of little squares. I put them in tiny polypro ziplock bags. I used to label the sniffie bags, but now I just make sure the order form is color coordinated with the color of the sniffie.
Lantern Light Mama
That is an awesome idea! Then everyone could have a set of bags when they sell...is that the idea?
Trish
That is an awesome idea! Then everyone could have a set of bags when they sell...is that the idea?Yes. I use a 6x9 envelope and the order form and sniffies go in the envelope. Then the sellers have somewhere to put the checks/cash that they receive for orders. It seems to work pretty well. Would never have realized we could even get them--I think they would be cheaper to do than the portion cups since they hold such a small amount. Is it enough to get a good sniff of the fragrance? Maybe in the spring we could get a co-op of these because the price is so much better when a large quantity is ordered. Thanks for pointing us toward these. I'm definitely interested in them.Jane
