Wick'n'Wax
I have a couple of silicone christmas moulds to make up, one is a snowman and the other sort of a house, (grubby in style) with trees outside and angels that meet around the back with stars. Now I'm going to rub paint on these, but wanted to give them some kind of colour base to start, as don't like the plain paraffin, its not white to me, its an off white/grey.any suggestions on colour? candlesprite7
I just add some stearic to my wax for the snowmen....makes them a nice white, or you can get some white dye(titanium dioxide) to make it whiter. For the house I might go for a brown? or Tan? Wick'n'Wax
I tried ivory, yuk! my paints are goldy colours, with some metallic blues etc, so decided to try a turquoise, not too bad, but awful on the snowman.I can't add stearin as they are silicone molds. Would vybar whiten it? or I have microwax hard?thanks xx
candlesprite7
Hmmmm I dont think Vybar will do it...and no idea about the other additive, I've never used it.Good luck though! Post some of your tries!
