TheQueen
I am thinking about doing a sugar scrub and adding a bit of red wine to it. Has anyone here done that? If so, when and where do you add the wine? Or does it even matter?
katshe
Is there a value to adding red wine to your scrub?, just wondering , sounds fun
TheQueen
Just sounds like it would be an unusual ingredient. No particular value except that. :rolleyes2
katshe
I don't know if using wine in a scrub is a good idea or not but if you are making a scrub with sugar and oil the wine may cause separation as it is not oil and will need to be emulsified ...using and emusifying wax.Someone correct me if i'm wrong here. kidsngarden
I wonder if the wine would dissolve the sugar a bit? Let us know your results!Bethany
Laura
you might run into some problems with using a cunsumable alcohol in your products, so look into regulations.

TheQueen
Someone has suggested reducing the wine thereby evaporating most or all of the alcohol and using the reduction in the scrub. I'm gonna try it that way, but I'll probably still drink the vino whilst concocting the scrub.

TheQueen
I just found out yesterday that someone I know makes a great sugar scrub WITH WINE so I'm off to the laboratory for experimentation! I'll let you know how it turns out. But I'm still gonna drink some of that vino!
