RWV
Hello,I am new to your board and I love it! I've been making candles now for several years and was wondering if there is any kind of wax that works best for citrus scents. I've tried numerous orange, orange/vanilla, lemon, grapefruit blends, lime, etc. scents and all, with the exception of only a few, have a fuel smell. Is it the scent or the wax or both? If wax is a major factor, what kind of wax would be better? There are many holiday scents I love that are orange blends and I love Trapp's orange/vanilla and have had some dupes of it, but can never get away from the fuel with these scents. Any help you can give me is much appreciated! Thanks:smiley2:
Jane42
I have seen the suggestion of putting a bit of vanilla in with the citrus scents to help with the fuel smell. I haven't had a chance to try it yet, though.Try searching "fuel smell" and see if any other suggestions pop up.Good Luck!
