Candlebuddy
I'm test burning Candle Science's Apple Jack & Peel ... 50/50 soy blend, 8%, 8oz mason jar, CD12, one color chip (cinnamon red - also from CS), 1 week cure time. The cold throw is med-strong, however, I think the cold throw from www.kycandlewaxsupply.com is stronger. I'm on my first burn, and so far, I'm detecting a slight fuel smell ... ... I'm hoping this will stop with the second burn. I'll update later today.
Candlebuddy
Okay, here's an update ... I'm still detecting slight fuel, although I seem to be the only one that can smell it. I had to wick up to a CD16. My normal size wick is a CD10, but this oil is giving me a hard time. Here's a couple of other reviews ... Strudel & Spice (CS) - very nice, but not as strong as CS's Cinnamon Buns. I would say this one has a medium cold and hot throw. (8%, CD10, 8oz mason, 50/50 soy blend) Brandied Fruit (The Candle Source) - I was so frustrated with this oil that I put it aside for awhile. Now, I'm testing it with a CD16 and it seems to be doing well. This is reminding me a little of CS's Apple Jack (minus the fuel). (8%, CD10, 8oz mason, 50/50 soy blend) Also burning Cinnamon Caramel Latte - my own mix. This scent is doing so well for me, that I just wanted to mention it again. I mixed 1.25oz CS's Fresh Coffee, 1.25oz KY's Creme Brulee, and .50oz CS's Red Hot Cinnamon. It's filling my living room, dining room, foyer and hallway. A CD12 seems to be doing fine right now, but I'm about half way through the candle and I'm beginning to worry about it a little. (8%, 50/50 soy blend, 8oz mason) Okay, this is the last review ... CS's Red Hot Cinnamon. Medium cold throw, medium-strong hot throw. (8%, CD14, 50/50 soy blend, 8oz mason) Something interesting ... I use Farmhouse 50/50 soy blend, however, since I started using the new shipment of 50/50 it seems to be a little different than before. The wax seems harder and I feel like I have to wick up alot. I guess it could be other factors too ... weather, etc. ... we'll see.
