Kae
I have been trying to get a rich wine color for my 3"pillars. I have used Lone Star supply liquid dyes in Burgundy/Brown/and even some Plum mixed in..it either comes out looking like a murky dark or too pink...I use the IGI 4625...Anyone have a rec to getting the color??Kae
barncat
Usually burgundy or a mix of red/black should work. I know on some I add up to 18 drops per lb.

DebbieTX
I use Lonestar dyes. I had to make a deep dark red color for my pillars for a wedding. I used equal parts of their red to equal parts of their burgundy. Eight drops of each per lb. of pillar wax. Try that and then add one or two more drops of their burgundy if you want a deeper burgundy. I had to wick up one size because of the amount of dye used. Believe me, I tested for weeks to try to achieve this color. HTH
