luvcandles
Hi I am a newbie and have a color question. I have just started making container candles and am using a kit from Peak. I use the dye chips. My candle colors end up looking like there are swirls in it or like marble. Can anyone tell me what I might be doing worng? lindanelson
Good Morning; It sounds like you are not stirring your color chip enough with the wax. Here is what I do with dye chips: When my wax is melted, I put my chip in my pour pot (pyrex measuring cup), put it in the microwave for 45 seconds, then pour my wax in and stir really good, then I add my fragrance oil and stir well. snow
You might not be mixing the color in good enough. Add it to your heated wax and stir until it is melted in good. I'm not sure, but maybe that is whats happening.
Candlebuddy
I agree, you have to stir until the chip is completely melted. Also, make sure your wax is hot enough to melt the entire chip.
