blt212
Anybody know why a wick would literally spit, sputter and not light. Nothing different with this one than any of my others....possibly a bad wick? Of course, it was the one I gave my mother-in-law... I just tried lighting it myself and it's crazy...almost like a sparkler beginning to light.ThxBrenda
blt212
Ok, it's not the wick because I just put a new one in to test and it did the same thing, except now it's lit but still sputtering and popping......it's almost like there's water in the wax. Just really strange, other candles made from the same batch of wax, same fo, are fine.

Vicky_CO
It does sound like water in the wax or your wick got wet but if you changed wicks that would eliminate that one. Does your ML store her candles in the fridge? If she does that could explain the problem condensation in the wax from the fridge.
HeavenScentU
Ask your MIL if she put it in the fridge or maybe she accidentally spilled some water in it. People do the oddest things and not realize it...
blt212
We asked her, she said she didn't.......I guess it will remain a mystery. Thanks all for your feedbackBrenda
