Lady Light Puerto Rico
Hi:I make semi-purified parafin candles and I use 1/4 tbsp of Vybar, Stearic and Cetyl Alcohol as I was teached. For some reason I know this proportions aren't right. I use 1 ounce of FO per pound but my candles don't seem to smell that much when they are done and the little aroma doesn't last to much. Also when Iá testing them they don't have aroma at all. Please help!!! No fragance no selling!!! Thanks

topofmurrayhill
Where are you getting your fragrance oil?
Violetsexoticcandles
I suppose I don't understand what 'semi-purified' paraffin candles are, as well as why one would add cetyl alcohol to their mix? Also, pouring temps when adding fragrance would help a great deal.AND finally, the specific wax you're using. Scented
Was curious about the use of cetyl alcohol as well as understanding what semi-purified paraffin is too.
Lady Light Puerto Rico
Uppsss thanks for responding. I should have said semi-refined and the cetyl alcohol is for a shiny candle. That I was teached and now I'm looking for wisdom.
Lady Light Puerto Rico
The fragances I get locally and don't know the original source. What I do know is that they are suitable for candles. Thanks
topofmurrayhill
The fragances I get locally and don't know the original source. What I do know is that they are suitable for candles.I don't have enough information to know the answer for sure, but I think that's the most likely problem. For good scent throw it's extrememly important to get fragrance oil from the best possible source.
