kw2703
I tried a search and didn't come up with anything. I am having troubles with my wicks shifting while burning. It's not the actual wick, but the tip of it. They are perfectly centered when I glue them down, but mid-burn it seems that they always pull closer together and move from the center. Is there something that I am or that I'm not doing that could be causing this?
iammommytwo
what type of wicks r u using? in what type of wax?
Accents
Some wicks will curl while burning, so depending what kind of wicks, that could be what you're seeing.
kw2703
I'm using LX wicks in 70/30 parasoy. They do have a slight curl but I notice them totally moving from the middle of the jar closer to the top...definitely not centered like they were when I poured. Chickie1st
Are you affixing your wick to the jar and after pouring are you using something to hold the wick in place until the wax has set up? I use wick bars or two sticks.
ah-soy
Is your 70/30 from GL? If so this wax burns deeper faster than it burns wide. You'll have to recenter the wick as it burns or when it's cooled to slushy. At least that's what I do with this wax.
