kandlekrazy
Maybe I didn't word it correctly...what I was trying to say was that by adding my fo to a heated pour pot (I use glass) the fo warms up a bit and seems to help keep the wax temp up while blending. When I was adding the wax first to the pour pot and throwing in cold fo, the wax temp would drop quickly by 20-30 degrees. Now that I add the fo first in the heated pot, the wax is only dropping 5-10 degrees so I haven't had to do the reheat step at all.
Stella1952
AHHHHHH, now THAT makes all kinds of good sense! In fact, it's downright clever!
Camay
Oh geez, I meant to say that I got the additional squirt type caps at CandleChem's ebay site.
ILikeWaxMelts
One of these syringes like they use for feeding tubes might also work for measuring FO. There made of a hard Plastic... and some even have oz's labeled on the side like this one."This is also what we use to collect water samples from our pool in the summer time." eugenia
You people are making this way too hard. Put the pour pot on the scale, tare, then weigh your FO, then add the wax.If your scale won't support the weight of your pour pot, weigh the FO in a dixie cup, then dump into the pour pot.e
Stella1952
If your scale won't support the weight of your pour pot... get another scale!
kandlekrazy
... get another scale! Indeed...how would you weigh your wax, if it can't even support the weight of a pour pot?The syringe would be volume again...not weight.
